Over the 2-3 years I’ve been here at Harunatsu, I’ve done everything I can to keep us going. Providing a server with XDCC, a seedbox, and an FTP with terabytes of storage for staff use.
Needless to say, I did not spend hundreds of dollars a month on dedicated remote servers for this, much of it has been on my own PC.
Most other groups either go to donations or find people with the money to provide servers, etc. The biggest issue was finding a method of payment that was reliable and I think we have found it (we tried paypal and that did not work out). Other groups like Chihiro and DDY have used this successfully to cover costs, so I hope we can as well.
There’s no pressure to donate but if you value our work and have the money to spare, it really would help no matter how small the contribution.
We plan to be 100% transparent in how the money is spent. The first order of business would be to order the UQ holder BDs (if we can get that much). After that, it would go to keeping up our site, and critical server hardware (that includes Haru’s poor PC ;_;). If you’ve read all this and still would like to donate, please go to our Patreon here:
